What is NAPETS |
NAPETS ------ AS AN AFFILATED PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION OF THE UNITED NATIONAL PARTY
‘National Association of Professionals of Engineering Technology and Science’– NAPETS was founded in the latter part of the year 1993 as a professionals’ Organization, affiliated to the UNP, with the blessing of the then President of Sri Lanka Hon. D.B. Wejetunge and the then Prime Minister Hon.Ranil Wickremasinghe. Since the inception, we have been making outstanding contribution to the party at various levels. A few of them to quote, are: |
- Organised Seminars and awareness programmes for the members and the public when the opportunity arose on pressing economic and political issues.
- Organized leadership seminars and workshops for the members and the interested members of the public.
- Presented educational programmes to support development effort of the governments, followed up with visits to such development project sites.
- Contribution made direct to the party (UNP) by actively getting involved in the Janabala Meheyum, Media campaigns, as and when required by the party, and by positive timely involvements in the election campaigns.

| NAPETS has completed 14 years of continuous service and the party working Committee has recognised the NAETS as a professional organization affiliated to the UNP, as per the UNP Constitution, clauses 3.3 (e) and 4.11 (b) |
